Terms of service
Last updated October 23, 2026
These terms describe use of GearVault, an equipment record-keeping service. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Your account and records
You are responsible for keeping your account secure, providing accurate information, and uploading only material you have permission to use. You retain ownership of your uploaded content and allow GearVault and its service providers to process it as needed to provide the features you use.
Responsible use
Do not use GearVault for unlawful activity, to infringe another person's rights, to attempt unauthorized access, or to interfere with the service. Access may be restricted when necessary to address abuse or protect the service.
Plans and subscriptions
When subscription billing is available, Free includes up to 10 pieces of equipment. Pro is offered at $6 per month or $60 per year in USD, billed at the interval you choose. Your subscription renews automatically until canceled. Checkout shows the amount and billing interval before you authorize payment. Payment processing is provided by Stripe; GearVault does not collect or store full card numbers.
You can change or cancel a subscription through Settings → Plan & billing → Manage billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. After Pro ends, existing equipment records remain available to view and export. Additions are subject to the Free plan limit, and Pro import and bulk label features require an active subscription. Contact the service address below for billing questions; these terms do not limit applicable consumer rights.
Values, identification, and reports
Equipment values are estimates entered by users or proposed by optional integrations. Photo and text identification can make mistakes. Review manufacturer, model, serial number, values, and report contents before relying on them. GearVault reports are records of entered information; they are not appraisals, proof of ownership, insurance coverage, or a guarantee that an insurer will accept a claim.
Availability and your copies
GearVault is an early service and features may change or be unavailable. No promise of uninterrupted availability or error-free results is made. Keep independent copies of important receipts and records and use the export feature when needed. These terms do not limit rights that applicable law does not permit to be limited.
Leaving the service and contact
You can stop using GearVault at any time. For account deletion or questions about the service, contact brokenhornproductions@gmail.com. Information handling is described in the privacy policy.
